Historical Mission
The Wellhead Protection Committee was a citizen-led group that worked to ensure that water protection remained a top priority in Wayland's planning and decision-making processes. The committee worked to educate the community, advocate for strong protective measures, and monitor threats to the water supply.
The committee believed that safe, clean drinking water was a fundamental right and that protecting water sources was essential for the health and well-being of current and future generations of Wayland residents.
